This 3400 square foot, 2-story administrative building was contracted by the City of Akutan. Byler Contracting completed the wood-frame construction well within the time requirements and with full success. Akutan is located on an extremely remote island in the Aleutian Chain, presenting some of the most challenging construction conditions possible.

The Iliamna SREB is a 10,000 sf heated storage and maintenance facility constructed at the Iliamna Airport in Iliamna Alaska. The building houses a sand storage wing, a urea storage facility, a main maintenance floor, office and meetings spaces, and full bathroom and laundry facilities for the DOT maintenance crew. The main shop area has a traveling overhead crane systems, and 6 garage bays for the numerous pieces of equipment kept on hand to maintain both the airport and road systems of the area. The steel structure was pre-engineered offsite and barged into Iliamna, traveling from Homer and across the narrow road system between Williamsport and Pedro Bay, to eventually be barged again across the expanse of Lake Iliamna to eventually be erected at the Iliamna Airport. The storage facility is now substantially complete and will be occupied by DOT personnel in the coming weeks.

The Wasilla Middle School renovation project encompassed a full remodel of the cafeteria and auditorium areas of WMS. The renovation consisted of an addition to the existing cafeteria, remodeling of the kitchen facilities, remodeling the gymnasium entrance lobby, and remodeling of the existing school store.

The Enderson Concrete building was built to suit the needs of their business with a beautiful apartment included that could be considered a home. This is a large shop, but we can build shops with office and living space to suit anyones needs and budget.

Byler Contracting was thrilled to be the General Contractor for the Wasilla AIH addition. The addition was roughly 9980 sq.ft. The project began July 2009 and was completed this January!
